More than screen time. Real skills.

Cyber Explorers is an intensive program designed for curious minds ready to move from passive technology use to real understanding. Students learn how digital systems operate, how data is protected, and how introductory AI concepts shape technology decisions through daily hands-on labs, virtual machine environments, and applied problem-solving challenges that mirror how cybersecurity professionals actually think and work.

The Curriculum

Enroll in one week or both. Each day includes structured instruction, daily labs, collaborative challenge stations, and scheduled breaks.

01
Week One

Cyber & AI Foundations

Students learn core concepts including digital safety, networks, authentication, cyber threats, and how basic AI systems make decisions. The foundation for everything that comes next.

02
Week Two

Cyber & AI Builders Lab

Students apply Week 1 concepts through hands-on labs, advanced problem-solving, and team-based cyber challenges using virtual machines. Where learning turns into doing.

By the end, your child will be able to

This program emphasizes thinking like a problem-solver and digital defender, not just using technology.

  • Understand how computers, networks, and digital systems operate
  • Recognize common cyber risks, safe online behaviors, and basic AI-driven decision processes
  • Apply logical and systems thinking to solve technical and problem-based challenges
  • Work collaboratively under time constraints to complete guided cyber and AI activities
  • Explain cybersecurity and introductory AI concepts using age-appropriate language

Hands-on challenges

Structured, instructor-guided cybersecurity and AI activities, both online and offline, that require critical thinking, teamwork, and accuracy under time constraints.

๐Ÿ”

Access & Authentication

Password logic, authentication puzzles, and access-control challenges.

๐ŸŒ

Network Design

Systems-thinking problems that teach how networks stay secure.

๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ

Threat Response

Threat identification, response, and real decision-making scenarios.

๐Ÿงฉ

Troubleshooting

Logic puzzles, debugging exercises, and guided technical problem-solving.

๐Ÿค–

Why MBS.Tech

A program built for this moment, by someone who's lived it.

MBS.Tech is a nationally recognized cybersecurity education organization led by Miranda Stanfield, a federal cyber leader and educator.

We specialize in introducing underrepresented youth to real-world tech and cybersecurity careers through engaging, hands-on programs that build skills, confidence, and community.

๐ŸŽ“

Led by a federal cyber expert

Miranda Stanfield brings a PhD in cybersecurity leadership and a decade of federal government experience to every program we run.

๐Ÿค

Built for underrepresented youth

We expand access to real cybersecurity and AI education for students who've historically been left out of the tech pipeline.

Good questions, answered

Does my child need prior experience?
No prior experience is required. Cyber Explorers is designed for students ages 10 to 14 who are comfortable working in small groups and following multi-step instructions. The curriculum builds from the ground up.
Can I enroll in just one week?
Yes. Families can enroll in Week 1 only, Week 2 only, or both. The Both Weeks Bundle saves $95 and gives students the complete intensive experience: foundations followed by applied labs.
What payment plans are available?
Families can pay in full, split payments through Klarna at checkout (eligibility determined by Klarna), or put down a $300 deposit by June 1, 2026 with the full balance due by June 15, 2026.
Is there a sibling discount?
Yes. Enroll a second child from the same household and save $75 per additional sibling.
What if my child only has a Chromebook or tablet?
Chromebooks and tablets do not reliably support the cybersecurity labs and virtual machines used during camp. If you have questions or need help exploring options, please contact us before enrolling.
What happens on Showcase Day?
On July 3rd, the final day of camp, students present projects and demonstrate what they've learned to family members. Lunch is provided to all students at no additional cost, and families are warmly invited to attend.
